Just wondering if there's a discount from Discount Tire since they sponsor this sub-forum? No worries either way, but it couldn't hurt to ask. I wasn't in the right spot to get my 285 Duratracs during the last big eBay direct sale, and I need them before the next one in November, so here I am.

Appreciate it. 285/70r17 Goodyear Duratrac in LR D. They'd have to get to Denver though too, so that might make it harder...

Discount Tire Direct has their twice a year eBay sale in October, (~the 15th if memory serves) and March. They do $100 off per $400 purchase. If you split your purchase into 2, then you can get $200 off, shipped for free.

Yep, very aware of that sale. I mentioned in the OP that I wasn't in a good spot to buy them in March, and I need them before the next one in the Fall. Just wondering if they do a second best kind of sale at some point, etc.

Right on. I think last go around, someone misquoted them as being on sale November and March. But it is October and March. At any rate, I think you might try asking if someone on here works at DT. I know there are a few that should know. Most sales that stand out to me are around the holidays where new tire money is competing with holiday expense money. LOL. I thought that there was a less sale, maybe around Easter. Not too sure on that one. But, as they generally price match most of the competition, anyone else's sale should work in your favor as well.

They're doing a $100 prepaid visa for buying a set of "Best" rated tires, of which the Duratracs qualify. Plus it looks like Goodyear is doing a $50 prepaid visa promo too. So that's $50 shy of the eBay deal, and it's not instant, but I'll be OK with that.

Looks like I know what I'm doing on the 25th!

I'm also in the market for new tires, either k02's or duratrac's. is this sale just prepaid cards or any manufacturer rebates? i'm willing to pull the trigger for memorial weekend as well.

Its both! It's prepaid cards as manufacturer rebates. lol

I ended up getting a used set of Duratracs instead to get me by until I can take advantage of one of the Discount Direct eBay sales instead. I remembered it's not $200 off a set of 4, it's $400 a set of four since most of these are over 400 for two, and they sell them in sets of two.
