Hi all! Now that my wife and I have decided that we are not Xchanging the 4Runner for another vehicle (between a 2011 4R Limtd or a Jeep Grnd Chkee Specl Ed) it's time to get to work :naughty:

So for starters, I'm goddam tired of the BOUNCING :jump: with the suspension when driving or stopping. I've seen that many have installed FJ springs which is great but does it give me any lift?I also want some lift too. I think 5100's or OME shocks are popular here and are there any other recommendations for shocks?
I want to do a lift to get a little bit bigger tires and I know when I go back to Rausch Creek having a lift an bigger tires will help. Is a 2inch lift just changing shocks and springs or do I need to change naything else? I see spacers but can spacers handle going offroad twice a year or on the beach 5 times a year?

1 inch seems to be nothing and 3 is my limit, I dont want a bigfoot!

What about that Rancho quicklift??

Thanks everyone!

Check out the suspension section. Enough info there to make your eyes bleed.
Short answer is the FJ springs will give you maybe and inch of lift. Daystar 2.5/1.5 + Fj springs is a popular setup. Any lift less than 3" and you dont need a diff drop.

There's a Jeep model that's called SPECIAL ED? Is it yellow?

Thanks, I've got loads of reading here so I can properly get my info then post a better question.
