Hood latch? Do they move with the hood or mount like the CBI ones? I like the idea of them mounted to the upper part of the hinge.

If you turn them outwards towards the wheels and use them as ditch lights you shouldn't have a problem. My hood is painted with bed liner so I have no issues.

i aimed my lights out to the side more, so i can light up the blind area that the windshield light bar cant

Bumper mounted lights are not replacements for ditch lights.
So, what you're saying is- if you don't use them for what they're made for, you may have negative results. Right on [emoji1360]
