so after much deliberation i said the hell with the magnaflow and im going with the flowmaster. i got my mind made up on the super 44 but i also may go with 50 series just for the extra chamber and reduced sound in the cab. got a baby and all. how do yall with flowmasters like them?

I have a Magnaflow 18" and I've also thought about switching to a Flowmaster. I'm curious to hear how the 60 series sounds since it's recommended for 4 and 6 cylinder motors.

i like my flow master. i just don't like the guy that installed it (the previous owner). the body of the muffler rusted out along where he welded the hangers on it, and he didn't put a hanger for the tail pipe. so unbeknownst to me from the muffler back had zero support. it ended up snapping at the weld at the end of the muffler. after all that i had to frankenstein the damn thing back together with patches of new metal over some of the holes. if it last me another 6 months i'll be happy.

idk about the 4bangers man, i went and did a bunch of research on their website and looked thru threads and listened to a ton of different ones on youtube. i dont think i saw a 60 series but then again i wasnt looking. goodluck tho.

Yeah you don't see too many people running the 60 series. Just makes me wonder how it sounds on our trucks. I can't imagine it sounding bad since it's intended for smaller motors like our 3.4's. I've heard a 50 series on a 4Runner that sounded alright but it was a little raspy when the guy revved it. I'm curious to see how yours sounds, especially if you go with the Super 44.

Im running the Flowmaster 40 series right now, and it sounds incredible...i will say though that when i got it on it sounded pretty ricey, but now it has a few thousand miles on it and its worn in and sounds beautifull:) when i turn the ECT button and get the really long shifts through 2nd it sounds soo sickk too!!
i would highly recommend it! good luck!

wow i cant believe the bad luck with magnaflows ive got one on both my tundra and my other car zero issues and my exhaust guy installs a ton of magnaflow never had one come back cause it fell apart

only problem with flowmasters they rust out rather fast o and theres no break in with them there a baffled muffler lol
