I like it, I was thinking of doing the same thing with my turn signals. Spray em amber/burnt orangish color, like my old signals on the 96-98 4Runners. Now im considering the corner lights instead. Hmmmmm...Looks cool tho

I can ship some out to you this week if you really need some.

There are also other alternatives to paint, I chose Krylon because it was accessible and seemed to be the most suitable for the weather. I read others using Tamiya (spelling?) or other materials.

I like the look. When I moved my turn signals into the corner lights, I switched to amber bulbs. I may need to go all the way with this mod.

@Gerdo; You did the swap to make the corners signals? Did you make the signals parking lights? I can not find a write up on that. Is it possible to make the corners on all the time and still blink when needed?

I removed my lower turn signals because of my bumper so I made my corner lights parking lights and turn signals. There is a writeup somewhere, I'll see if I can find it.

You kinda have to figure out where the new socket will fit best. I took a dremel and made the hole. Pop in the new socket and silicone it in. I figure ill dig out the silicone if I need to change the bulb.

I may just hold off for now. I do appreciate the offer though! I still might just tint my clears and leave the one raised portion, not-tinted. I'm on the fence.

JadatheRottweiler those corners look awesome! I came across this post late obviously but I think they look great! I never cared for the clear corners myself, just didn't seem natural. But these definitely fit in to classic Toyota styling, which I'm surprised no one ever mentioned. I never saw a Vue, but saw a resemblance to our "big brother":

Amber corners has been in my plans since day one. Now I know it looks great, particularly on the black rig. Clear corners always seemed too 2Fast2Furious Civic to me, not to mention in Canada we have laws requiring amber reflective lights in the front. Glad this thread was bumped!

I don't think Yellow is what you want...the OP said he originally tried yellow and it looked bad.

I can't even buy Krylon in Canada.

I'm just going to troll ebay and/or the hobby/craft stores locally until I find it. Stained glass spray paint can't be that hard to find.

I am glad this popped up and peple are doing it, i cannot stress enough how much i disllike clear corner markers on any vehicle.
