Hi,

I'm trying to do a new install with all the same parts as AIRBUR. I have a 2007 4runner sport with the JBL system

I have a scosche interface which has the same plug as the metra kit, but it doesnt fit the factory plugs. Anyone else have a problem?

I'd check that harness with manufacturer for compatibility. I suspect they sent you wrong one.

Thanks for the help guys figured it out.

The last problem I have though is getting a face plate to fit. I've read through many of the posts and have tried all the kits mentioned and not one has fit. I guess I must be doing soemthing wrong. Anyone have pictures of their aftermarket faceplate to clear up the holes on either side of the radio??

Thanks in advacne for the help.

Here.

BLAZAAM! You owe me a beer! :biggrin2:

Unscrew the factory bracket and then put that bracket along with the trim to fill them eye gouging void on each sides. Might need to force it a bit, but be careful since it's nothing more than fragile plastics.

Yea these kits don't generally fit the best... I found if you get 2 screws in the brackets on each side (1 up top, 1 on bottom) and then fit the dash, you can then go back and adjust as needed. My last one I did I had the top left was sticking out and the bottom left was pushed in revealing a gap. On the right side it was the exact opposite. I was able to remove a screw from each side and swivel the brackets to match up like I needed.
