Do 4runners have locking differentials?

What is the system like on the 04 SR5s?

I know the center differential can be locked, but what about the front and the rear? I hope they are at least limited slips on either ends, otherwise there isn't much of a difference from the Highlander.

I'm planning on a 04 SR5 V8 and looking for some answers.

BITE!!! your tongue man. HELLO :awais: even with no locks the runner is night and day compared to the highlander. Only thing available is a rear ARB locker, nothing from Toyota though.

No factory front and rear lockers
The traction control does a great job though, lots of guys are wheeling with them and clearing obstacles you would not be able to do with just open diffs. Just remember to lock the center diff as it turns off the skid control, which just gets in the way when you wheel. Still not lockers, but hey it get you there.

Ha, the highlander??

The highlander is a bloated camry with awd. The 4Runner is still built on the tacoma platform. There is more room, more ground clearance and give it time... the aftermarket will be all over the runner, not the camry "cough" highlander.

Is the Prado essentially the same as the 4Runner? Same dimensions, systems, and options?

It looks shorter than the 4Runner, but it could just be my imagination.

Think of a Lexus GX470 body (different grill and headlights) optioned out like a 4runner this would be a Landcruiser Prado.

If I understand correctly markets that have the 4runner/Hilux Surf typically don't have the Land Cruiser Prado and vice versa.
