Do 4runners just pull to the right?

I just had an alignment on my 2000. Before the alignment, it pulled to the right on the highway. After the alignment, it pulls to the right on the highway. I used to have a 2006 and that always pulled to the right. I would get an alignment and on the way back from the stealership it was pulling to the right.

Does anybody else experience a slight pull to the right? Or have the alignment guys just been ripping me off? Thanks!

All highways are naturally sloped slightly to the right so that there's is more of a tendency for the vehicle to go into the ditch rather than oncoming traffic if someone falls asleep or stops paying attention. This might be what you're feeling.

I'm not sure, but mine does the same. I've rotated and balanced the tires, and the alignment is dead on. Always pulls to the right.

Mine just got balanced/aligned and it feels like it pulls to the left.

The best way to gauge this is on a large empty Interstate late at night where you can straddle the crown in the road by driving down the center. Under those conditions, mine tracks straight hands off (and brakes straight hands off, too). It always has since '99, as long as it has not been too long since alignment--usually I only do it with new tires or when suspension has been opened or I feel something wrong.

Mine pulls fairly noticeably to the left when braking, but only when at pretty low speeds: approx. 25 MPH and below. Still have no idea why. It doesn't bother me too much but catches me by surprise sometimes.

If a vehicle tends to pull to one side or the other, with or without braking, it could be worn out upper or lower control arm bushings. The fronts will effect this more than the rears but the rears can cause this too.

To your question, No they don't all pull to either side. Mine runs as straight as an arrow. I have replaced the steering rack bushings and all the front control arm bushings with poly bushings.

X2 mine runs straight. I replaced my bushings 2 years ago. I haven't had an issue through 2 different lifts.

Mine just got balanced/aligned and it feels like it pulls to the left.

Check your tie rods. I just installed a 3 inch lift with diff drop. I put on some beefy tires and went to get the alignment. afterwards it was way off and pulled to the left. i know the guys at the local shops so we sat around and looked at it. and we found out my inner left tie rod was shot. all else was fine and now i am on to bigger and better things.

i had the shop look at all TRE once they told me about the one. They double checked and said all others looked up to standards and the alignment was on the house:jump: With that said, i know a plethora of things can cause pull. It was recommended to me to check u joints, ball joints, steering rack bushings (which are getting replaced once snow is gone), wheel balance so on and so forth. first and foremost, get to know what the shop is talking about becuase you will gain immense knowledge from that.

Mine tracks straight as well! I do notice on certain parts of the freeway it will pull one way or another, and those are for safety reasons, like said above. Incase someone falls asleep at the wheel etc.
