If you have to ask if you need a 2nd battery the answer is probably not

How dare you ask a question says the salty old man.

We're creating a scientific record of all that is 4Runner, creating a post that is unworthy feels the wrath.

However if you want to talk about light bulbs then this is your place.

Clearly the OP should receive a flogging. How dare he post a question relating to 4Runners on this forum!

U obviously should spend all ur time sifting through the thousands of posts here to find ur answer. Asking questions to get helpful answers or insight is strictly prohibited. Everyone attack!!!!

how is anyone supposed to answer if they need a dual battery with zero information relevant to if they need a battery?

This is the answer to half the questions on the forum, the other half is yes it will rub.

speaking of which, i did the BMC lsat night. Weird i didn't create a thread asking which brand sawzall blade you all would recommend. Also I took the "chop" part of it quite literally. Big ass chunk came off like butta

The problem is snowflake...at least demonstrate the ability to put a coherent post together...the OP's question has been beaten to death, time after time, so now it will go into the 4 kazillion post pond of useless info. 95% of the questions asked here can be resolved with a simple search....people are just too lazy, and there's never a shortage of enablers like yourself, pretending to be defending the idiocy with fake outrage and a reply that looks like it was typed by a 12 year old.

You haven't been here long enough to notice...but there's been a huge decline of older member participation in threads simply because we see it day after day, year after year, and it getting worn out.

Do a simple search, take the time to do at least 20 minutes of research before posting an inane question with 3,598 answers.

So old members aren't posting because new members are asking questions and new members aren't coming back because of the indignant responses they get from older members.

Seems healthy.

Maybe you'd like to answer OPs silly question?

Perhaps you don't realize the criticism isn't asking questions, it's asking a question which, with even the barest minimum of initiative, could be gleaned from 7 years of postings.

Do you want us to list every electronic device that can possibly be installed in a 4runner? That would be the answer to the OP's question.

The simple answer is this:

The only time you need a second battery is if you have an electric device that will run when the vehicle is not running and use more than about 200 watt hours before you run the vehicle again (drain more than half the battery), or you have a short duration load that exceeds about 5,000 watts on a regular basis, or you have a medium duration load that exceeds 1000 watts that will drain the battery more than half way while still running. Otherwise it serves no functional purpose.

my answer was a serious response, if you're asking you probably don't need a second battery

there is no information supplied to give a more in-depth answer
