Do remote start affect your AC when on?

I'm trying to search any related topic about my question in this forum but cant find one.

Anyway, I'm planning to install remote start in my vehicle as sometimes during winter/summer weather is so extreme that you need your AC working before entering your car. May question is, thus the remote start will cause any damage in the long run to my AC if it is always on when remote start turn on the engine?

Thanks in advance.

Under normal conditions it should be fine. Enjoy your cool air. For those of us w/o remote start all we can do is roll the back window down while walking to our vehicle :)

It should not be any different than Summer time practices where the AC is on when you shut the vehicle off, and then come back out to re-start. I would assume that it really will know no difference.

I use my remote start both winter and summer, no problems at all. The only time I use it in the summer is when it's 90 and sticky outside, over wise I just get in and open up all the windows and the roof and enjoy the sun. : )

I haven't had my 4runner long enough to really need the a/c. However I have left the a/c on with my last car to remote start it with no problems. Most cars if the a/c is on when you shut it off it will still be on when you turn it on.

I remote start when it is either very hot Or cold and never had a problem. It is just like starting your truck with a key.
