Well guys, I think you'll be happy to know I did almost crash, but it was on the other side of the vehicle so the camera wouldn't have caught it.
No no, the suspension has 65k. The tires are pretty fresh at 5.5-6k. I think it may just be the camera mount, I'll keep rewatching it though. Maybe this is just my subconscious telling me to get rid of that xre-ass and get my coilovers. But, people say I could easily smash through there doing 30-40 on my current setup, which makes me think either something is wrong, or I'm doing it wrong.

My x-reas was beautiful at 80K miles. At 100K miles (including a tire change), I'm wondering if there aren't better options out there.
OT: what kind of camera do you have? I have the DriftHD and love it. The lens is fisheye, but it takes amazing stable video and looks less douchey than the GoPro.

Street performance is pretty much normal xreas, nothing has changed much there.
I used an old Sony DSC-T30 for the wheel-well shot (aluminum body, smaller lens, old, just incase rocks and such get knocked up at it), and a Canon HF301 mounted on the side for the cruise videos. And a Nikon D5000 for stills, but you haven't seen that yet. I did want to try out a GoPro just for the sake of it being weather proof, but I guess I never went with that idea hah.

I remember a particular occasion where I was coming to a stop at the end of a paved road that was really bumpy (like little ski moguls) and the truck started to skip and hop on me and I felt like it was out of control and that I wasn't going to make a the stop sign. Very scary feeling. I'm not sure if it was a function of the VSC kicking in trying to do what it felt like it needed to do or what, but it was a very unsettling feeling, and if it's what you're dealing with, I could see how you'd be cautious with it. It's only happened maybe 2 or 3 times in all of my 150K+ miles, but every time it happened I remember being like, "WTF?".
On the flip side, I've also been out on dirt roads like the one you're on and pushing it without any issues. I think my issue occurred only when applying brakes when the truck was hopping. Maybe try disabling the VSC/TRAC/ABS next time to see if it would make a difference. Hope that helps.

A couple of causes for the instability could be from wheel alignment and shock fade. When ever you lift the front suspension, you're taking away caster. The only way to bring it back to within specs is adjustable UCA's. Even with loss of caster the car will still track straight and there won't be any adverse effect on tire wear. Where you'll notice it is twitchiness in the front end at higher speeds. Driving on washboard roads for extended periods even though not at high speeds can overheat your shocks to the point that they are non existent. That coupled with the fact that you don't have enough caster could lead to a very unstable (dangerous) condition. Also, a lower tire pressure would have helped.
The OEM shocks and xreas system is good for one thing, normal driving on the street. Beyond that, they are pretty much useless. It doesn't take much to push then beyond their limits when you take them off road.
Some of the drop offs in your video looked pretty steep. Not very forgiving if you were to lose control.

Thanks Dawg, but I already knew about these things. I know I shouldn't be thinking this over too much since the xreas will get ripped out this summer anyway. Its just that its ruining the fun until then. Who would have thought doing anything over 20 mph would be asking too much? I take it 25 psi was still too much?
