Do wind-deflectors work?

Anybody have experience with this type of in-channel (non-taped) wind-deflector? I've never had this sort of thing on any of my vehicles. Used to think they were quite ugly, but these actually look pretty nice. They're a bit on the expensive side at $100 for a set.

Two questions, for anyone who knows: #1 Does having to shove them up into the window channel interfere with the windows opening, closing, etc? #2 Do they really improve the wind-noise (buffeting) like the manufacturer claims?

I've had them on other vehicles, they work fine. Good for keeping your windows cracked in the summer weather to cool your vehicle and not worry about rain getting in.

One word of caution, you may have some problems with you driver side window, which has the auto-up on it with pinch protection. The pinch protection can be a problem sometimes with these products.

As far as wind noise... if you leave your window cracked, not below the new edge of the wind deflector, the noise is minimal. Below the wind deflector it is the same noise level.

I see. Well, this was my primary interest in the product. If it doesn't reduce wind noise with the window all the way down, I don't think I'll bother with it. Thanks!

I put a set on this week. Glad I did as we have been having hot temps all week with massive thunderstorms every evening. My ride home has been good and I haven't had to run the AC since I can "crack" all 4 windows while the rain is pouring.

I don't think they cut down on wind noise with the window all the way down though.
