Just thought I'd share some photos from the first road trip we took in our new 4Runner. She held up beautifully, on the road and off.

Here's the last of the photos from our recent trip. The last one isn't a ghost, it is my grumpy pre-teen who should have just left the window up...

This map doesn't count all of the hotel stays and stops along the route, just the big stuff that we did. The trip was initially going to just be a guys week in Vegas, but as to be expected with my friends, they all crapped out. Luckily my wife tagging along to be the safety inspector got to actually see more than just Vegas thanks to my lousy friends. :)

I really wanted to travel home on the 101 all the way up the coast but time just wouldn't allow for it on this trip. Next time we plan on making the 101 our entire trip. I can't wait!

Nice, good to see the vehicle is being used for what it is built for.

How is the ice holding up in the back on the sun?

It held up great. Full with drinks and food, by the end of the day only about half of the ice melted. Kept everything fresh. Just make sure you never push a squeeze bottle of mayo into a cooler full of ice with the nozzle pointed down. The caps aren't exactly waterproof...
