Does a queen air mattress fit in the back of a 4runner?

I tried searching for this but couldn't come up with a result. If not for those sleeping in their trucks what have you been sleeping on? A full size mattress? Foam?

Just get a Full size memory foam mattress topper and cut it to fit around the wheel wells. Thats what I did, its amazing.

Personally I'd just order a 2" foam topper from Costco or Target.

A FULL fits nearly perfect. A queen would be too wide.

A double fits perfectly between the wheel wells and lengthwise. My girlfriend and I usually just stuff some pillows off to the sides then.

I went with air as the foam takes up so much room when not in use compared to air but of course can get holes
most of my stuff is in totes, so if needed, I can put them out in the weather with the ice chest, and inflate a mattress
all people are different, but foam is hotter to me, which could be good in cold weather I guess
if I set up a tent I take the air mat in there, but that could be true of the foam

I'm only 5'9" and its too small to strech out. I was cramped sleeping back there. Used a full sized air mattress. It fit, but I didn't.

We use 2 wrestling mats, and they're great. More durable then anything else, and you can put them outside to lay/sit on. You can also add an egg crate to the top. The problem with foam is it's pretty hot, or so I think.

I'm 6'4". I don't come anywhere near fitting in the back, even with the tailgate up and my feet hanging over the edge it's still too short.

I don't think it's going to be comfortable for anyone 6' or taller. I'm around 5'11", and I just fit on my platform. The only thing you can do is build a small extension to fill in the gap between the rear and front seats. That should give you at least another foot of space.

I fit a queen mattress in partially deflated to fit around the wheel wells.

I'm 6'3" and have to remove the seat bottoms and lay diagonally to fit.

I've since bought an enclosed trailer and converted it to a toy hauler with bed lol.

Maybe yours is shorter than the rest? The mats I posted are exactly 6' long so you can see that is about the max length.

I'd highly doubt that they made just my 4runners cargo area an extra inch or two short haha the cargo area might be EXACTLY 6 ft and I might be like 6 Ft and 1/4 inches tall

^^ Exactly. Even when I sleep in a bed I usually sleep on my side with my knees slightly pulled in. Even if I was 6'6" I think I would still fit in the back.

I don't actually fit on a queen mattress anyways, with a pillow my feet usually stick off the bed. I need that california king
