I’m technically in Everett, but practically in east Millcreek. Impatiently awaiting my first 4Runner, Inferno Red Trail Premium with moon roof (must have for us) to be delivered to Michael’s Toyota of Bellevue at the end of April/beginning of May. It’s our first brand new vehicle, now we get to wait for it to finish being made and floated from Japan.

We currently have a 2005 AWD Nissan Murano with ~160k miles that we’ve gotten stuck twice in sand and once in snow. We dug ourselves out in every case, but it usually meant we missed where we wanted to go. It’s simply not acceptable that our vehicle can’t go where we want to go. This is doubly the case when it’s a location my wife wants to photograph!

I’ve been lurking this forum and watching many videos of mods to make. The top of my list is sliders, front bumper with winch, skid plates, and rear bumper with tire mount and extra jerrycan space. I’m 100% new to this scope of work on vehicles, but am pretty handy with tools and have replaced wheel bearings and smaller things on the Murano before. I’m sure I’ll be searching this forum and asking advice where I can’t find answers!

My wife, 7 year old daughter, and I are roughly planning a 4+ week trip to Alaska in the summer of 2020, and we usually camp at least once a month, even in the snow. We are hoping to take the new 4Runner on a lot of trips and get it broken in before the Alaska trip!

Hoping to meet other 4Runner owners in the coming months and have a great time overlanding!

Pics all look great from the craigslist ad, but I’m wondering if anyone would be down to take a look at it with me this coming weekend. I figure y’all know what to look for, red flags, that kinda stuff. Hopefully it all pans out and I’ll have my dream car soon!

I refuse to pay people to do work I can do myself. I did all my mods myself. Im totally down to go to Alaska with you in a couple years. I'd love a maintenance buddy. Idk how you plan on preserving the factory warranty with the bumper mods but I'll help you do whatever. I just bought an alternator and battery so I can upgrade my bumper with a winch later.

Hey all, looks like this is the only post people are responding to in the northwest section so I thought I'd check in here. I've had my 2016 for a while, but haven't been active in the forum until recently. I live in Tualatin and am around the oregon city area a lot.

Here's my rig: the black 2016 is my daily and the beat up 91 is my play rig that I've owned for 9 years and don't plan on getting rid of. The play rig stays at my dad's place in central oregon.

The white 2018 is one that I did some work on for a friend. I can do tint, lift installs and some electrical work if anyone ever needs a hand. I recently got a cheap garage computer with techstream running so I can program keys and change settings in the newer toyotas. I just programmed two new keys with the AJT fobs for my 2016. The dealerships and locksmith are outrageous with their prices so if anyone needs keys programmed or wants to play around with techstream around the portland area shoot me a message.

If you guys see me or my wife driving around be sure to wave or honk. I won't give my wife any warning, so if she looks scared just keep freaking her out!!

Lot to learn, but you are starting with a very capable vehicle. I like sand dunes and have been to Sandlake and want to go to the dunes near Florence.

If anyone would like to take a sand dune trip sometime let me know. I have been to Sandlake near Tillamook, but not to Florence. Going with another 4x is good in case one digs in too deep.

I have a compressor and CO2 tank, yank straps and shackles. OEM tires are fine aired down.

There is a lot of good info on this forum about off-road driving and driving on sand.

A dune flag and ATV permit are required.

IllBe back in Seattle mid September. I'm doing the tough mudder on the 22nd with some family and then looking for some trail runs before winter sets in and I park the truck and switch to the bike. I'm weird, I know... But it doesn't snow here and I don't trust summer drivers in the city on two wheels or winter drivers on four.

Who wants to go see some sights?

I see the supercharger in your signature. Do you currently have one on the truck? If so I would love to meet up and take a ride. Going over the passes these days definitely puts a hurt on the motor when loaded up.
