Gonna be putting on some goodyear duratracs soon before the winter starts.

You'll have to let me know how they do in the pnw snow.

Do you guys have meets or anything? Go ski/board during the winter?

I'm up at stevens every weekend during the season but willing to meet up anywhere in the NW.

Will do about the tires. I have heard a lot of good things about them in the snow....gonna be a good year from the predictions of la nina

dont go to stevens. to far from seattle for me. i LOVE alpental back country and go to crystal quite a bit as well.

Same here. Yeah hopefully the predictions come through. I'll be swapping out with some snow tires this season.

I guess you're right. I was living in edmonds last season so it was pretty close.

its far from seattle! if you ever go to alpental, i have a season pass and plan on using it quite a bit this year.

following up about the duratracs. i had them mounted about a week ago by discount tire. they matched the tirerack price for me of $176 a tire. I love them so far! on the street they perform GREAT. the back of the truck feels a lot more planted when going over bumpy local roads. doesnt feel washy in the rear like the trail t/a tires did. performed well in the rain so far. took it up to the mountains once and thats where they really shine. so much control/grip with these tires. went on some trails under the powerlines just before the pass and didn't have a problem getting around at all.

thanks for the update. what size did you end up with? I changed my mind about the dedicated snow tires and decided to go with the duratracs just before my trip to whistler for thanksgiving. we might be putting together a snow run after new years with a few other 4Runner owners. Let me know if you're interested.
