Does ATRAC work w/o VSC?

Hey guys, so I've been reading ALOT about our 4 wheel systems, our differentials, ATRAC, etc.

My question is does ATRAC work if VSC is off? and does it work only in 4 LO?

I currently just have VSC off by removing the "zero point." That's it no switch mods or anything so on the dash it says VSC TRAC - VSC OFF.

So again just to clarify, in this state does ATRAC work with VSC off AND does ATRAC only work in 4 LO?

Thanks for that link chaz! Let me ask a different to make sure I understand.

I had seen the mod "turn off vsc, but still keep ATRAC on" which was my original question. So regardless if VSC if off, ATRAC is ALWAYS on?
Even if I currently have " VSC TRAC/VSC OFF?"

So long as you have ABS, ATRAC is on. As far as I know the only way to disable ATRAC is to un-plug the ABS plug on the brake fluid resivor. If you enable 4WD and lock the center diff, it disables VSC anyway, while keeping ATRAC enabled. VSC kills power to regain traction, and ATRAC locks a free-spinning wheel using ABS to prevent total loss of power (when wheel spins freely 100% of power goes to it)
