hey i have been wondering about something. due to recent mods my Runner wont fit in our garage anymore and hits the house. this makes working on it difficult. just wondering how many of you have clearance problems.

it just barely fits in the garage but its a pita to move everything so i dont really work on it in there anyways

with my lift rack and all the crap in my sig, i'm sitting about 7'4 at least that's when i start hitting parking garage signs and such. i clear 7'4 but not lower then that, i don't even try as i hit the chain tube at 7'2 so to be as actaurte as possible

I was having a detached garage built last spring when the framer looked at my truck and asked me "Are you gonna try to park that thing in here?" pointing at my 4Runner...I said yes and he immediately stopped the work and made his guys raise the door a foot. They had to tear the front of the building off to do it too! Now, I did have to special order a door, but the runner fits even with a 33" tire and IPF lights on top. I did have to get creative with my CB antenna though...Here's a pic!

Mine barely fits. With lift, tires and the slightly higher Thule bars I can still get into garage's 6'8" and above.

I don't have a garage, but I pulled it in the shop at work the other day and SMASHED the door clear off the tracks and it came crashing down and all the plexiglass broke...yeah it was a mess....


so, no....it doesn't fit :biggrin2:

well is whats great when that happens is when that happens but the door comes smashing down and one of the huge panels comes off but if you let it sag it will ruin the entire door, my father called and acted like his truck fell over on him, i got there and was cracking up
