Does my 2000 4 runner have a cabin filter or not?

I have a 2000 SR5 4 Runner and my search on here got me some conflicting answers. Does my 4 runner have a cabin air filter or not? My Chiltons manual doesn't say anything about it and if it is there, it's going on 122,000 miles and needs to be changed BAD. No wonder my 4 runner smells like espresso and egg farts.

go to your dealer and have them do the AC service for the smell. it really works well. dunno if you smoke in your truck but it gets rid of any nasty odors

thanks for the reply. No I don't smoke and I don't smell anything nor do my friends. My wife (god bless her) thinks it smells bad. I just tell her she smells hard work but she doesn't buy it. lol

I will call my dealer. But do you know if my runner even has this filter? I found posts on here that said it does and it doesn't so not sure who to beleive.

No,it doesn't,it was 4th gens that a cabin filter first appeared.

it doesnt have a filter, but the dealer puts this foam stuff in your AC vents and intakes and it grabs all the bacteria and dust and other "smell causing" things, and then they suck it out. i think you can do it yourself, but im not sure what you would need. its only like 40$ at the dealer, and really helps get it clean
