Does my 4runner have a non-interference engine

1991 4runner 4X4, 3.0, auto, lots of miles on it. Bought very used and have no idea the last time it was changed.

In brief, the 3vze is a non-interference engine. Please note that a mistimed engine can still cause severe damage. Check your timing marks when installing the belt, and after you install the belt tensioner, rotate the crankshaft by hand two full times, and make sure the timing marks are still in line. But generally you do not have to worry about turning the motor into a boat anchor.

Timing Chain = Interference Engine
Timing Belt = Non-Interference Engine
