Does my SR5 have ATRAC?

I know this is probably a dumb question, and I'm prepared to be virtually bludgeoned if so, but I couldn't seem to find it specifically addressed using the search function. I also downloaded Toyota's '08 brochure (I have an 08 SR5 4wd), but ATRAC wasn't specifically mentioned for any model. Seems like maybe E-LSD was listed for 4x2s though.

I had been prepared to just assume all 4wds have it until I saw a pic in another thread with an "A-TRAC" buttion (09 Trail according to the post). I have switches for VSC and center diff, but no ATRAC.

So, what's the deal? Do I have it or not?

Yes, all 4th gen 4wd 4runners have ATRAC. There's no switch because it is always on and there's no way to turn it off.

So, to satisfy my curiosity, what does the ATRAC button do? I'm guessing it turns off ATRAC for full time 4wd or models with the diff lock?

Yes, all 4th gen 4wd 4runners have ATRAC.

If you have a 4th Generation w/ 4X4...you have ATRAC.

ATRAC is AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAmazing!!

I call it doggy piss. I saw it in action & I actually used it, it is GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRREAT.

I think they only added the ATRAC switch on the '09 Trail. And yes, it allows the driver to turn off ATRAC, which comes in handy if you find yourself in a situation where you WANT to spin the tires without the ATRAC kicking in a applying the brakes on one or more wheels.

If you found yourself in such a situation, you could just pop the hood and unplug the connector on your master cylinder reservoir.

If Atrac uses the brakes to hold the slipping wheels, just unplug the abs fuse or disconnect one abs sensor to turn it off.
