Does the exhaust gasket for my cat not exist?

So this is supposed to be the easiest job. But alas it isn't. As you can see from the pics the first gasket I got from lordco burnt out in a few weeks. clearly it was wrong. So I swung by toyota to get the right on. Didn't think to measure the ID since I need 2.5" I ended up with 2 1/4" from toyota. So nobody has a gasket that is going to work wtf! I ended up with a metal tapered gasket and that leaks a little but it'll hold so I can drive around and find something tomorrow. But has anyone else had this problem why is there no gasket that would fit between my cat and my exhaust wtf.

I just replaced mine last month when the bolts rusted out and gave way.

There are two gaskets that go there, depending on year, model, etc. 90917-06072 and 90917-06057. I bet you got the wrong one. I got the 90917-06072 and it fit perfectly on mine.

To be precise, I got the NAPA Crossover, Part Number: EXH 31384:

NAPA AUTO PARTS

Center hole = 2 9/16"

The 90917-06057 is Center hole = 2 3/16"

So it would appear that the shop that did the exhausted before I bought the truck put on a flange that doesn't perfectly true up with my cat. I'll be building a gasket to take it's place as a flange gasket instead of a ring. It should work lol
