Well, first off, quality & research cost money. This is cheaper than the average chip...so be careful.

Secondly, they have researched this for YEARS, but the new 4runner has been out for only one year. Hmmm....

If this is an ECU download, then MAKE SURE THAT IT IS REVERSIBLE. If it is not, then you may be screwed if the thing kills your engine...warranty may be void! Make sure that when you download this thing, it will save your STOCK programing (again, reversible).

Sorry, i just think that you're better off not messing with the programming of ECU.

Nothing is free. You change the torque curve in one area, and another area will suffer. You gain HP at the cost of losing low-end torque. There's only so much you can do to the ECU programming.

This kind of thing sounds like a reason for Toyota to void your warranty. I would try something like an airflow mod of some sort or a TRD supercharger if you really want a real power increase.
