Does Your Top Windshield Seal Look Like This?

I'm trying to chase down a whistling wind noise, and it occurred to me that it started happening around the same time I had my windshield replaced. I also have an AVS bug deflector, but that was put on long after the windshield was replacement (next step will be to remove that and test once I determine it's not the windshield).

Anyway, was looking at my windshield seal on at the top, and was wondering if yours look the same. Based on photos, it might be correct but it's hard to tell. I do know there is a seal there based on the FSM I have, but it doesn't really give good details either. Here is what mine looks like (photo is at top of passenger side windshield, and you can see the exposed top edge of the glass with laminations):

Do you know how they put tape on the top of your windshield, that’s to keep it from creeping down, but in reality everything but a factory windshield is going to have that gap. I’ve had mine replace six or seven times and it has never whistled like that, but it looks exactly the same.

My money would be on the bug deflector, those are water traps and whistles.

Thanks guys! I suppose I'll put some masking tape on that gap and take it for a spin, just to rule it out.

I used to be against bug deflectors too... until a rock bashed my hood right there. I touched up the missing paint, so the bug deflector pretty much serves to cover up the dent. One of these days I might get it fixed by a body shop.
