Dog hair in carpet

borderline dumb question

is there an easy way to get dog hair out of the rear cargo area carpet?

the previous owner had a white dog and i'm going crazy trying to get the hair out of the carpet. short of pulling them out one-at-a-time, i'm not having any luck.

tried a car vac with no luck.

I had a similar issue on my VW. You need a brush with rubber bristles. I found one at Walmart, pet stores also have dog brushes that is a glove with rubber bristles on the palm area. The rubber bristles grab dog hair and you can vacuum it up after.

That is essentially the same rubber bristled brush I picked up at Walmart for a couple bucks.

Dog hair removal

Take a damp washcloth, wipe it over your carpet where the hair is in a swirling motion( like buffing out wax), you dont have to push very hard. It will make the hair clump all in one ball and just pick it up and throw it out. Takes 5 min, you will go crazy trying to get it all up by vaccuming.

Brush arrived and I tried it on a small spot. So far, it appears to a good job dislodging the hair from the carpet.

I'm far from OCD, but white hairs stuck in black carpet...

I used to have a detailing business, when I got a car loaded with dog hair I would spritz a light layer of water, then use a rubber glove or rubber brush and just brush it all into a pile. Comes off easy peezy.

I had a German Shedder (pun intended) and spent countless hours with a shop vac, even the house was very hard to keep up on. Then i got this guy, and no more shedding, wife and i are very pleased. This pic. was after his bath and there was just a small pinch of hair in the drain.

Latex glove works as well as that brush...

Mist the carpet with water (if you don't, the friction will quickly destroy the glove), and brush the hair (with your gloved hand) into a pile. Vacuum pile. Nothing else works better, though those brushes will work the same.

If you want to get fancy, check out the Tornador (or products like it). My buddy's detail shops have them (not the same brand, idk what it was and cannot find it online) and after we vacuumed it (A LOT) we took that thing to it. My grey shirt was brown from all the crap it kicked out of the carpet, and my arms were absolutely covered in dirt. Vacuumed again, and the carpet (18 years old) looked like it was brand new.

My housekeeper had this vacuum attachment stashed in the cleaning closet.

Basically removed 90% of the white hairs from the carpet. No joke, I'm starting to believe the previous owner had a pet porcupine and not a dog.

We sell a pet hair brush at work made by Hi Tech Part number PHB1 (go figure)
That works really well it's a rubber brush with long rubber hairs on it and a scraper on the other end. When my dad passed away and I inherited his Silverado the hair from My parents wore hair terrier was all over the back seat. I think it took me about 20 minutes to have it all pulled up. Costs less tha $10

Old detailers trick, use a genuine(not plastic)glove across the carpet and the static pulls out the dog/cat hair. Works well....I have German shepherds.

I like using Wolfgang leather cleaner/conditioner. It leaves a non-sticky finish.

Buy one of these and attach it to a cordless drill then use the side of the brush against the mat and it is very quick and very easy to do. Then just vacuum your mats and you are finished.
