Dog Ramps

I have a 7 year old lab that has had two knee surgery's and it looks like she may need another one.
Now I have no problem lifting her 98 lbs body into the back of the truck when we take her to the vets, alas my wife is very petite and has trouble lifting her into the back.
Has anyone got any ideas for a light easy to stow dog ramp that my wife can use in my absence?

We bought this ramp earlier this year as one of our dogs is having some arthritis issues as well.

It works well but I will warn you it's a bit bulky and kind of a pain in the arse if your dog is like ours and super anxious to get in/out of the car. Our situation is compounded because the older dog has no such issues and is quick to jump in/out and the other dog has not realized she can't do it anymore yet. Anyhow, we have decided to sell our ramp and use something along these lines.

Yeah both my dogs are over 100lbs so the lift harness is out of the questions, I'll more than likely go with this

It is telescopic so it shouldn't take up too much room in the back and it's plastic so it's not too heavy.

I thought I'd play around with my minimal woodworking skills, $2 for hooks, scrap wood and try to build a dog hitch step that hooks onto the steel safety loops on the hitch. And then has fold down legs for the other end. It's fairly light and does fold down flat for going in the back of my 4Runner. And my 10 year old Golden doesn't seem to mind using it. I'll try it for a while and then see how it can be improved.

I also use the Solvit telescoping ramp for my 150lb Newfie and 90lb Golden. Makes getting in my wifes GL450 and my T4R MUCH easier. Also have and use petloader.com steps - they accordion fold in/out and are VERY sturdy. I use these for getting the dogs into my Raptor, as it sits a bit higher than my lifted TRDP .
