Doing my own timing belt 4.7L V8. Question?

I am going to do my own timing belt here in the next few weeks. Just wanted to make sure that I am ordering all the parts needed. Also any other suggestions while I am in there.....

Timing Belt
Tensioner
Idler Pulley x2 (left & right)
Water Pump (since I am in there)

If possible, could you document the procedures and do a write-up later? I may do it myself the time comes. Me too I have a 2003 SR5 V8 (2WD.)

Have you got all the gaskets you need?

I just had the timing belt replaced my a non-dealer Toyota/Lexus specialist here in town... I did it basically at 90,3xx miles and had them do the water pump, tensioner, idler, etc all at the same time.

In all honesty, I drive my vehicle pretty hard and usually see a lot of high RPMs in my normal driving as well as all the towing I do (5-10% of my miles), and the timing belt still looked nearly new when they pulled it out. It was still very flexible, didn't look dried out or anything, and I live in a very hot part of the country (south Texas) that dries out all kinds of rubber parts quickly.

Next time around, I will not replace my timing belt before I go at least 100k miles, assuming I rack up the miles as quickly as the first 90k came up. Time and the drying out of the timing belt is what will kill it, though.

I am thinking that I will come across the same situation with the belt looking fine. I am going to go ahead and do it anyway just to be safe. I am now at 94,000 miles. Just need to make time to do it.
