Dome light issue

Thought I would start a new thread about my dome light.

I just found that my dome light on my '93 Runner will not come on whent he door's open. It works fine when you switch it over to manually turn it on, but when you switch it over to come on when the doors are open, I get nothing.

I'm thinkin I need to see how to get it apart and there is probably just a bad connection happening here (maybe a little sanding on one of the connections). Before I break the cover, do you simply apply a little pressure to the sides and pop it off?

It might be something as simple as the door switch, I'd check that out first.

It would be all door switches and if so the front dome light wouldn't work. The middle dome light is the only one effected and it happens with any door open.

Thanks for the input... any other ideas?
