Not sure. But I just installed running boards and originally wanted to tap the dome lights. Instead I tapped the ignition key ring light. It’s pretty easy to get to under the steering wheel. There are 4 wires there as I recall. One will be the negatively switched ring light. I think it was pin 1. With pin 4 being constant 12v.
