Almost done building the platform for the fridge and slide. Gotta grab some nice wood for the slide out cutting board/table and mount the hinges for the storage in the rear. Had a buddy Rhino line everything for durability.

I am super happy with the fridge and amazed at how little juice it consumes. Great product! The wife thought I was crazy when I bought it but she’s now a believer and loves it.

I've been temped to get one of your fridges as well, my 20 year old igloo is starting to show it's age.

Nice! Is that a custom or modified Wilco Hitchgate? It looks about 4" higher than the regular one, with a riser between the receiver tubes.

Ah, nevermind. I see they offer it in a "High Clearance" variant. I had been looking at their Hitch Swing for a bike rack but that isn't offered in HC.

Thanks for all the questions and feedback! Who on here runs a Dometic fridge? We are curious to see how you mounted and installed!

I have had a CFX-28 for 2 years and love it. Mounted to my factory tray on a dedicated circuit with an aob fridge switch.

Be curious to hear the differentiators of your fridge vs. ARB. Is that something you could elaborate on?

I'm looking into this myself. It seems that if you remove the handles, the 75 will fit. That doesn't take the tray into account, and was based on someone else's measurements of the trunk. I plan on taking my crap out and verifying the measurements myself. I'm specifically interested in the ability to recline with the fridge behind the seat. I like the separated compartments, and the shorter height of the 75, but I'm wondering if it will be way more space than I need, at least on the freezer side.

I won't be using the Dometic slide, instead, working on my own that will allow me to keep a flush base/platform when the fridge is removed. I live in Baltimore, so there is no way I'm leaving $1,000 in my trunk every night. :crazy:

For what it's worth I ended up buying a CFX65 and used it to store food/beverages for an 8 day camping trip to Moab. Ran it on some hard trails which put the truck in some pretty extreme angles. The fridge never skipped a beat. My heart on the other hand.... :barf:

Just received my CFX 75 today. Without a sleeping platform, it fits with a little wiggle room. I can recline the seat 1, maybe 2 clicks.

Im planning to install a sleeping platform, and as such will probably face the lcd panel and fans to the seat back. As you’ll see below that leaves lots of room for airflow. Its also the heaviest side. The platform will make it a much more snug fit, but still workable. I wont be able to recline the seat, and might remove the handle facing the trunk door to get the most room possible. I am putting it on the passenger side so that I can recline the drivers side rear seat (the fridge is just a but wider than the drivers rear seat, so if you place it there you cant recline EITHER seat.)
