Considering that it's a late-model Range Rover with their known poor reliability, it's entirely believable that it's not stuck, and that it just stopped running.

I dunno about shadows, but I'm looking at the splashes around the donkey's feet and the complete lack of even a ripple around the trucks wheels and I'm thinking this is not so believable.

I'm thinking that Range Rover has been stuck for a while, and the donkey is just starting to pull the Rover out. Or perhaps the donkey can't get the Rover out because it's just....not a Toyota!

Both the donkey and the man, as well as some tree/brush at the front of the image, are casting shadows behind them. The Rover isn't casting a shadow at all, but merely has it's reflection in the water.

Possibly, and it's not like it's the first time a donkey towed one of those things..

The poor quality of the image makes it's hard to say for sure if it's chopped or not, but when zoomed in, poor quality aside, the area where the water and wheels are look suspect. Also, adding reflection in Photoshop isn't as hard as one would think.
