(Don't laugh) What is the "Lube" in "Oil and Lube"

I would double check all of your zerts and ensure that you have them full of grease as well. Take a look at this post. I believe it goes over everything for your year.

Too late, I laughed :flipoff:. Lube is short for lubricant, and can mean a lot of things.
There's lots of moving parts on your truck. Most of them are lubricated. Some of them are designed for that lube to be replaced. We always talk about engine oil, which is one kind of lubricant. Other lubes that normally need changed/replaced at some point are transmission oil, transfer case oil, differential oil (or gear oil), and the greasable joints in your suspension and driveshafts. It's getting more frequent on late model vehicles for some components to have "lifetime" lube and not need to be changed, so not all of those may apply to you.
This info is in your owners manual, btw, complete with a service schedule telling you what components are ready for service at what mileage. Give it a read some time. :thumb:

I always thought LOF (lube oil filter) was meant for those vehicles that had zerk fittings.
I know Toyota lately has moved to sealed units compared to before to cut down on zerk fittings and people forgetting to pump grease into them.
but then again I haven't done a LOF in over a decade going on 2 due to work and old age.
