I know a few guys on here have done engine swaps. Just looking for a write up on swapping out a dead 5VZ for another one. I'm sure it's straight forward but every project has it hiccups. Looking to hear what these might be from someone with experience.

Your not changing out your motor due to your mileage issues? Or this for later in time when you have major engine issues? I really enjoyed reading your budget build!

It's not for my '97, that motor is just breaking in. Bought another one, new project.

if you register at autozone.com they have online repair manuals... kinda like haynes but its free.

Don't know, I don't have a FSM. Like I said, was more looking for input from people who have done it. I'm sure I can figure it out but always good to have input from those who have been through it.

Yeah anytime man. I had to write one cuz I couldn't find one when I needed it. I ended up doing it on my own a few times unfortunately. good luck.

The new one I bought has a bad motor. Bought it cheap, going to drop a motor in it and then sell one of them. I usually buy and sell 1 or 2 cars per year, keeps me out of trouble and makes me a few extra bucks.
