Door Actuator Issue??

Here is my issue, please let me know if you have any feedback or experience:
(I have searched and found what I believe to be the problem (door actuator), but I'm looking for more feedback)

-Driver's door wouldn't unlock yesterday when I left work. All the other doors unlocked when I hit the unlock button on the remote, but not the drivers.
-I stuck my key in the slot and even that wouldn't unlock the door
-The only thing that would unlock the door was when I opened the driver's side rear door and manually opened the door
-The lock/unlock button on the inside of the 4R does the same thing as the remote, it will work for all doors besides the drivers door.

So, is this the actuator? Has anyone else experienced this but solved the problem another way?

Thanks!

I had this problem when I purchased my 4Runner. Fortunately for me, the dealership was nice enough to fix it free of charge when I asked them to. Unfortunately, since they covered it I don't have a cost for you, can only confirm what GHARP already said.

Sounds like the actuator. But you should still be able to open the door with a key. Search, there are several walk throughs with how to do it. (I've done two, and could do in on 20mins now)

Can't help with the actuator, but when I got mine 2nd hand the key wouldn't work either.

The original owner never used the key or lubricated the lock it so "froze" up. A few squirts of graphite lock lubrication sorted it out. I'm sure other types of lube/oil would do the same.
