Door Ding

Hey guys... first post.

I just got my 4 runner last week and love it. I've been doing all sort of small things and maintenance but ran into an issue today. I barely take my keys out of the ignition but today I did and my door chime doesn't stop. I tried to lube the ignition switch but to no avail, any ideas anyone?

Just to clarify its a 98 t4r limited. What do you guys think? Is it the ignition or something else?

WD40 the door jamb plungers. Suspect the chime thinks the door is ajar.

Well its not the door jamb switch, I checked that first thing. Its something more. Its like I have my key in the ignition but not on anything. Also its the same chime I would get if the headlights were on after pulling my keys.

Tonight I noticed my headlights switch is acting odd.. first time to drive it at night so maybe its been an ongoing thing. But when I use my turn signals with headlights on I get a dimming of headlights and a clicking or electrical connecting from somewhere around the glove box... whats that all about?

I am going to disconnect the headlight fuse tomorrow and see what that does.

So just to help anyone who may run into this problem too it end up being the integration relay. The thing had some moisture in it from a rain storm i had with the window down. Thanks to the FSM I have it pointed me to it after countless test to each system individually. All I had to do was dry it out and clean the circuit board with alcohol and a cu-tip. Works like a charm now...

S.E. Texas is notorious for freak afternoon showers; I've run to the parking lot w/keys too many times to count. The oppressive heat dictates windows down here. :keyboard:
