Are you referring to the handle that opens the door from the inside or the handle to close the door/armrest. The handle to open the door should be same across all trims, if it's a square hoop that fits about two fingers. The door close handle/armrest is different depending on the trim and if you have power windows.
Our '90 SR5 pickup has the same door open handle as my uncle's '94 DX, but the armrest one is different.
You can also try getting handles off the '89-95 pickup (the generation before they were called Tacoma). The front doors and dash were the same on the 4Runner and trucks.

need new inside door handle/armrest?
Went to clean my inside door handle/armrest with some simple green and I guess the finish came off. Looks terrible now. Is there any way I can fix or to I need a new one? If so any links? Its the oak leather on a ’99 SR5 4X4.
