Door Lock Issues

I have an odd situation with my door locks that I've lost my patience with. Initially, the RP door lock failed and stopped working for a year or more. Then it just started working again one day. Now all of my locks except the rear hatch, go in and out of working at different times. This week, my driver door doesn't work, it did last week. Last week my front passenger door didn't work, this week, it works.

The only consistent one is the rear drivers side has failed for months, but the rest go in and out. Sometimes they'll unlock but not lock, sometimes its the other way around. I never know when I walk up to the car which door locked or unlocked. Its actually more maddening than if they all failed for good because I'd know...

Is this an actuator or motor problem? Do I just need to grease them? Do i have an electrical problem? Thanks in advance!

Mine is doing this exact same thing. I have not dug into it yet though. My driver door is the one that goes in and out, the other will sometimes all work and sometimes don't, but the driver is all by it's self when it does and does not work. Tried a new remote thinking it was just the button going out, but no luck.

I'll post up my results after digging into it, I can't right now because they are all working haha

Are ya'll having this issue wiith only the fob, or does this happen as well when using the key to unlock all the doors?

On my 2004 when using the key if I trun it once it only unlocks the driver's door, turn it again/twice and all the doors and hatch unlock.

Mine does the same thing, turn key once only driver, twice all doors. When it's happening the driver door won't work at all, even with the driver door switch. I must use key to open.

I had intermittent issues with my rear hatch during the overnight single digit temps. So I soaked the latch with WD40. Problem went away. Worth a try on your door latches.

It's......

......the door lock actuator motor. They get old/worn-out.

Lots of info on this site to replace the motor only........saves lots of $$$$.

I bought four of the small motors, off of eBay, for about 20 bucks.

Hope this helps.
