Door locks

Ok so My lil green machine has a regular door key and then a 2 button key thob. So the door key unlock both front door and the glove compartment. But the rear hatch it does t work with. Also the key thob, the lil light lights up faintly, but doesnt do anything. Any thoughts???

Couple thoughts:
First, are you the original owner?
If not, it's possible that the original core for the hatch was replaced.

If you know it's not been replaced it's possible that the hatch lock core is clogged/dirty/jammed.

If the Key fob lights up faintly it could be a dying battery: i've seen a "key fob battery test startion" at OReilly's : test them.
I'm assuming it's the battery in the fob and if you're too far from the truck it won't lock/unlock it. Stand really close to the truck.

Do you know what alarm you have?

Not the original owner, was wondering if i could get it switched to what the doors are.
Then the fob i really dont care about the alarm, mainly want to unlock and lock the doors.

Did you check to see if the hatch is original to the truck? Look for the VIN.

You can probably have a locksmith rebuild the tumbler to match your key.

Replace battery on key fob. If still no success, try reprogramming. And if still nothing, buy new key fob.
