Removed the interior panel off my rear hatch to do some wiper motor work. The shield that is normally beneath the panel was missing. I had some window film (not tint) that you put on your house windows in winter, and thought I would try that. It really worked well. Use the tape that comes with it, or if your ribbon sealer is still in place you can use that as well. Trim it, cut the holes you need, add a little heat, and there you go. Seems quite durable also. So, instead of taping up your old ripped and brittle paper shield, this is an option. Ace had a box of five on sale for less than one dollar. I am sure there are many options out there. Just FYI..Cheers. Oh, and it looks like I will be replacing my wiper switch.
