Hey! Have any of you guys removed your doors? Living in AZ and spring/summertime is here, Im thinking it might be nice to get a bit more airflow. Has anyone done this/is this a horrible, horrible idea?

Thanks!

I was actually looking at how my doors were attached yesterday while doing some other work. Obvious challenges to cruising around enjoying all the breeze would be the loss of your speakers and side mirrors. Additionally, I’m not sure what you do with the wiring harnesses in the doors. I just ran through new speaker wire the other day, and there’s a pretty good chunk of wires for the door. You’d have to probably take the wire attachment points off the door and feed the wiring back into the car through the gasket hole. I imagine all the connectors would fit through the car’s hole with the exception of maybe the driver’s window harness and feeding the wires through the rubber hoses would be a PITA. Also I imagine a raccoon going in your car in the middle of the night and pissing on your seat.

That being said, I’m sure I’ve seen pics here of people that had removed the doors.

Front door wires plug in. Look at the black round plastic thing between the hinges. Unscrew the bolt to unplug. The rear doors unplug under the b pillar plastic.
