Door Switch lights?

I just took delivery of a 2001 Limited, and love it! But I have a dumb question, are the door panel switches (window, lock, etc) supposed to be illuminated? These aren't. I have read the posts re: the Climate Control lamps (needs these also), but I am not clear on the door deal.

id bet no. my 97 doesent have lit up door lights. and my brothers 2001 taco doesent either

mine dont illuminate, pretty sure they arent 'supposed to'

Mine don't illuminate either and never did.

mine light up but mine might be dirrerent because it canadian. the master switch justs pops out look and see if there are bulbs behind it when u pull it out

on my 95' the drive window button has a light on the "auto" thats about it.

Mine is the same as above, it's a 2000 and both the driver and passenger windows are auto up and down and both have the word auto lit up. Nothing else on any of the doors has a light.

On my drivers side, the two front-auto window buttons are supposed to be lighting up, but only the left one is. I know it's a small fix (I'm new), but how do I fix this?

My post was misleading, on the drivers side only MY window switch has a light, the one for the passenger does not, but it is lit on the passenger door. So for only one switch to have a light on each side is normal.
