door window belt weatherstrips

i ordered and just received all 5 outer window weatherstrips. they look pretty basic but i was wondering if anyone has any advice before i install them, my old ones look pretty crappy compared to the new ones. thx

What I'd do:
Check the FSM just in case there are any tricks. As you extract/tear out the old ones, observe how they are attached.

Duct tape is your friend. Weather stripping loves to try and pry itself off while the adhesive is setting
On that note, go liberal with the adhesive - a decent sized drop every couple of inches is fine. Might be smart to get some 3M remover or brakleen ready to clean up any smears you make

These a stupid easy to change.

1. Roll Down the Window all the way.

2. Pull up at the end closest to the door handle.

3. Pull up harder

4. Snap on the new ones.

It can't be much easier.

yea, i've been doing as much searching and reading as i can before i do it. when you look at the new ones i dont see what keeps them in place, i'll get them in today, thx

i put them in and you were totally right. i didnt even use any tools!
