Doors not unlocking

Sorry if this has been covered before but couldn't find it when searching. I have a 2010 limited. As of the last 5 days or so the doors won't unlock when I touch the door handle and the interior lights aren't coming on either. In fact sometimes the doors won't unlock when I press the smart key buttons until I press unlock 5-6 times. It's not a dead battery issue in the smart key and it does the same thing with both smart keys. Finally for some reason it only seems to do it the first time I try to get in the car in the mornings. Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks

Is your spare key in the vehicle as well? I noticed that when left inside the vehicle, the touch unlock feature doesn't work.

By any chance, are you always in the same area each morning? I asked this because I've noticed that sometimes certain radio frequencies can cause interference with the radio signal coming out of the fob. This in turn makes the receiver in the vehicle not detect your smart key when you walk up...perhaps something in the area recently went up and is causing said interference?

Yes I am always at the same spot in the morning. Maybe something like what you mentioned is causing it. The battery is new in the fob and the second fob is definitely in the house. It has never happened when the car is not at my house.

Weird, I have a 2010 Limited and am having the exact same issue in the past week, regardless of remote, regardless of location. Replaced both batteries. Is it possible that this is an issue with the truck itself, and not the remote?

BigHarv, did you get this sorted out? I called my dealership today about it, and nobody would take my call, had to leave a message, and nobody called back. Unbelievable.

Anyone have any ideas why a non-smart key remote(2010 SR5 with the fob on the key) would work intermittently? Both of my key fobs have good batteries but the truck has been randomly not unlocking and locking and then all of a sudden it starts working again? Is there something I can check besides the fob batteries? Can't figure out what the heck is going on. Do the locks work off of some other power source other than the main battery? Any ideas of what to check?

Shot in the dark here, but I notice if I have my iPhone anywhere near the key fob it interferes with the locking/unlocking of the door, both on the key fob and if I touch the driver's door handle. Just a thought...

Believe it or not, I have found that standing very close to the truck has caused this, especially at the rear.

Anyone find any answers to this? I signed up because my 2012 is having the same issue, but it won't let me start a new thread yet.

I've put 2 new batteries in the fob in the last week, and each has quit working after a couple of days. I don't have a clue what to do.
