Doors won't unlock with auto-start

This is more of a convenience question than a real issue.

I have and aftermarket automatic start on my truck. Once I start the truck with this the key fob lock/unlock buttons don't work. Now that the weather is colder and its snowing i don't like to use the key in the door. I am curious to see if anyone else has this issue, if they have solved it, or if someone might have an idea on how to possibly solve it. Thank you.

I have a Avital remote start and mine does the same thing, try using the remote start key fob after starting it remotely. press the button on the remote start key fob once to unlock drivers door and twice to unlock all doors thats how mine works, if remote start is not used my reg key fob (toyota) that came with truck works normally

I use the Avital fobs exclusively. I ditched the OEM fobs back in 08. If you have one of those one button fobs for RS only, sounds like a good time to upgrade.

Factory Toyota fobs don't work when the ignition is on. If you start the truck with the key, it's the same way. It's not the remote start interfering with the door lock, it's the truck turning the keyless entry off when the ignition gets turned on whether it be off the remote start or the ignition key. Totally normal.
