Does anyone know of a source for the panel that creates the double-decker system in the 4Runner?

Wish mine had come without that $300 option! It just eats up too much space which actually reduces luggage capacity. Removing it leaves an unfinished look

Lex - What color are you looking for? You're not too far from me (NC to VA). I might be willing to work a trade. Mine is the STONE (grey). I'm not sure what all would have to be swapped supect it isn't much. There's the double decker shelf, hinge plate and 2 smale side trim pieces.

Mine came off the lot with it , I locked it in the down position on day 1 and it has never moved since.

I second Partznet , great service , good prices. Be cool if you could do a swap with someone. Why do you need it ? I feel its about a useful as the retracting sunshade that comes in the back.

I carry a ton of stuff for work (tool bags, samples, test meters, parts, etc).

I think the extra space (above) would help maximize what I can carry. I did see an organizer that might help too.

I just put a piece of carpet runner under the spider net to hold things on there. You can also get the rug anti-slip material at your favorite big-box home store. Cost is ~$6.

I kind of liked the use of it. it was pretty decent to keep things organized... gymbags and stuff. But now, after i installed my Kenwood sub, its pretty much never going to move again.
