There are a lot of stupid drivers in the world. I think the best thing you can do is try to understand the different bits of "stupid". I've tried to draw it out below.
Drivers
Lets face it. Lurking in the vast lands of concrete and tar, the inconceivable aggregate of pavement, the network of roads that surround our towns and cities, are drivers. And for the most part, all of the drivers that we share a few honks with, a few words with, and maybe a few punches with, fall into one of these five categories. First comes the teenage driver. You can probably identify them at stoplights, when their car shoots ahead of all the others, accelerating as fast as possible. It is also stereotypical of the teenage driver to ramp up the bass of their music until everyone around is vibrating. At the other end of the spectrum we have the old lady behind the wheel. She usually is short and has to stretch to see over the steering wheel. Elderly drivers will also average about 30mph below the posted limit. Then there is the oblivious driver who never signals and crosses five lanes of traffic at once to take an exit 200ft away, causing about ten accidents in the process. Next we have the mom who is driving like a bat out of hell trying to get her kids to school on time. And finally, there is the driver who is terrified of everything. You know the type – when there is a curve they slow way down, they look terrified and have a death grip on the steering wheel, you know, an emergency kit in the back seat, and every little thing makes them slam on the breaks. But as much as you hate to admit it, everyone makes a stupid move while driving once in a while. Some just make them more often than others.
