(a reminder to anyone else with that owns a V8 4Runner. The factory headers WILL FAIL eventually. Toyota's manifold design was very poor and the factory headers will end up cracking. They seem to last maybe 10 years before this happens. Also keep in mind that Toyota charges, $1,500 for factory headers! These are over half that, and have a lifetime warranty, add 30hp, 30 ft lbs of torque and better gas mileage!)

I finally took the plunge on these. Really looking forward to the increased power. I've been staring at these things since they came out. Got them from Jasonow. As everyone else has said, he was awesome to work with. As I'm in Canada, he went above and beyond to try to make things easier more cost effective.

Looking at the other stuff I should do at the same time. Probably going to replace two cats with high flows (Jason has these too and I'll likely end up grabbing them from him too).

I would definitely recommend these headers to anyone that has a manifold leak. I didn't know the real potential and sound of my v8 4runner until I pulled the trigger on these header with high flow cats and gibson catback. what a great combo. my truck sounds great and its faster even with my 35s.

Jason hooked me up with all the parts and was really helpfull.

I also had to replace one of the stearing column bolt to clear the header after the 1.25 Body lift.

Yes I had to replace all the studs as well and got the sensor extension to prevent engine light

Yes they do after you weld the cats on the instructions are included from DT

+30 hp and +30 tq is misleading unless there is another dyno graph out there I haven't seen.

With VVTI,

At 78mph, you do get a gain of +35 tq and +32 hp, but the difference between the max hp is +11 hp and max torque is +18 tq.

With just a Volant CAI (<$300) you can gain above the max numbers +17 hp and +5.6 tq dyno proven. Yes the chart shows you lose some numbers early on in the rev range but you gain all that back plus some with an AFR tune.

It does look like the gains are all at higher RPM. I'd be curious to see how RPM would have mapped out on that curve vs MPH.

Yes, you can buy the URD MAF Sensor Calibrator pre-mapped for you.

So I'm not the only one? Hopefully people aren't thinking their runners will make close to 300hp with these headers. There is a gain with those numbers but it's at a random part of the curve, NOT peak horsepower. I agree, that claim is a bit misleading.

Hey guys, just wanted to chime in that these headers are sooooooo worth it! It doesn't look like much on paper, but the power I gained from these was unreal! I know my exhaust isn't stock, but they make it so much smoother running and much more responsive. I'd highly recommend them, and they won't break like the damn stock ones do.
One of these days I want to get a calibration tuner from URD and see what I can really get, but that's some time off still. Times ticking, let Jason hook you up with these awesome things!!
