Cool man!

I bring all my cars to the drag strip at least once to see how they compare to the published magazine times. I aim to bring my 2017 to the strip hopefully sometime this spring/summer. Will post my results when I do :-)

:eyebrows:

This is a Racecar. (I'll admit a 16 second Racecar, but loud AF)

This is also a Trail Truck. (I have bigger A/T's now)

This is also also a Daily Driver. (17 ish MPG)

This is also also also a Tow Rig. (18ft Trailer for Karting)

Add it all up... I LOVE MY 4RUNNER!!!!

*I have no idea why it looks Greenish Bronze, it is Galactic Mica

Hey, I raced my ‘55 Pontiac Safari (3950 lbs) with a Holly two barrel (whoo) and a B&M Hydrostick (4 spd auto). Ran consistent high 19’s, but I had fun. Don’t give up.

Hey NNV, you be learnin'. Not goin' through the water box. Kudos! Still double bulbin' sometimes though. HEH! You'll get better times if ya just light the top bulb and then VERY carefully creep up on the second bulb. More roll out. Your reaction times will be worse but your times will be better. You ain't racin' for money anyway. HAH! Chime in any time Bayou. Hell, I once drove right through the lights and I'm lookin' straight up at the tree. Brain fart!

I was trying not to double stage, luckily it was my friend in the other lane so he didn't care. For some reason my Runner just wants to roll, hard to get it to creep into the lights.

and I took y'alls advice with the Water lol

Awesome! Looking forward to it!

Took awhile, but better late than never :D

Track was Luskville Dragway in Quebec. Outdoor temps were a bit higher than I would of liked (about 25 degrees C, or 78 F), but not much I can do about that. Did 5 passes in all, trying sport mode, TCS and VSC on/off, all were within a tenth or two of each other. Best time of the day was 16.25 @ 85.4mph.

I can tell you the truck does not like being repeatedly hustled down the 1320. On my third run transmission got hung up shifting from 2nd to 3rd, very weird (kind of like missing a shift in a manual car, rpms went screaming up). Anyways it was a lot of fun, even though I more often than not got :second: my best race and win was against a V8 Nissan Titan :first: (although it was a close race, he beat me our first time out).

P.S. Accidentally went down on pass 4 with the A/C on. Slows the truck down by about 0.1 seconds, FYI. :nerd:

P.S.S. All races above were done in a dream.....and in Luskville Mexico.....should any insurance companies be reading this lol

MY first thought when I started reading this thread was: Being the winner of a race between 4runners would be like being the tallest midget.
