I don't see why not. 4runner has a shorter wheelbase and more ground clearance so it shouldn't have issues cresting the tops of the stairs. Would probably just do it slower since it doesn't boast 398hp like the PHEV does.

I've seen that commercial..pretty cool. speed aside, what impresses me most is how stable it looks on the steps..The RR's suspension just seems to just soak the bumps from the stairs without any trouble...Anyone that's driven up something steep knows how high the pucker factor is..I'm sure my 4R could make it up there, but I feel like there would be quite a bit of bouncing. A trail would certainly do better with its offroad suspension..

I swear I 1st watched that challenge on Top Gear. The Range Rover has steel cable connecting it to the stairway for safety.
Charlievee - we have our own version of The Dragon in Missouri / Arkansas with lot of motorcycles and sports cars coming for a visit. I saw a Corvette club the other day.
Very few guard rails on the Missouri portion of this road but lots of blind hills and blind curves.
There area a couple variations:
Cruise the Ozarks - Ride The Bull Shoals/Peel Ferry Loop
Peel Ferry Ride | Eureka Springs Motorcycle Rides
Not too long ago, I found myself in front of a group of 20+ motorcycles. I found a rare place to pull off and let them pass. They were all happy and waved.
Peel Ferry w/ my Nissan Frontier:

The longest I ever made it was 5 days, 4 nights. When I started having visual hallucinations and loss of bowel control, that's when I called it quits. Slept for 36 hours straight after that.

I seen it just now on tee vee. That there commercial convinced me that THAT is the only vee-hickle fer me.”
What is this magical Trail/TRD OR suspension you speak of?

newer Fox suspension?? wouldn't necessarily call it "magical" but certainly better than a stock SR5..

I'm not familiar with the suspensions differences between models. if the PRO has the "best" possible suspension out of the box for a 4R, let's go with that one..

You're right! I always thought that was sketchy. It comes to a pretty abrupt stop too, like it bottomed out hard.
