So I searched around about this issue, mainly regarding the thud, but I never noticed the shifter issue until just recently.
Basically, when I brake hard and come to a stop, as soon as I let off the brakes, I feel a thud. Tonight I happened to be looking at the center console when it happened, and the shifter knob shook a little at the same time. Most people have been saying the drive-shaft needs greasing (which i still need to do) but I was wondering if the shake could have something to do with the transmission mount? or is that just a result of the thud traveling up the drivetrain?
Also, might as well ask this on the same thread: As soon as I let off the gas and coast, I hear a whining sound coming from the right side of the truck, around the middle of it's length. Is this a transfer case or transmission issue? I took out the passenger seat to get it cleaned and I noticed the sound got alot louder as if it was coming from directly under it.
Thanks!
